Curating A Deluxe Healing Haven
Nothing is better than coming home to a peaceful and tranquil environment. People today crave a space that allows them to concentrate on the important things. People view their home as a sanctuary where one can just lounge in, release all the tension and escape the hectic woes of life.
In today’s frenetic world, it has never been more important to create a home that is nurturing, calm and peaceful to allow one to recharge. Creating a tranquil abode is predominantly about design aesthetic within a space.
The team of Fashion Interiors, together with Tania Smits of Hip Interiors, focused on putting together the right elements to create a tranquil sanctuary. The room is cool and airy, balanced with a sense of warmth.
One of the first things that can be noticed is the absence of bright colors in the room. A series of neutral-colored furniture pieces was tastefully combined in the living room of Project Suriname. Focusing on whites, beiges and brown, the room transformed into a quiet, cozy and relating atmosphere.
Texture is also one of the most important elements of a comforting space.
Filling a home with items that satisfies our sense of touch is one way. The team was very careful in choosing the right fabrics for every piece. Round and well-cushioned furniture with textures that our soft to touch is one of the features that highlight comfort.
Conquering The Clutter
Clutter in the area can evoke negative emotions and immediately instill a sense of chaos and disorderliness.
It is important to create a sense of composition in your space as this affects your body and brain’s sense of order.
Aside from cleaning the area, one way to declutter is by choosing structured furniture pieces which leaves a clean and sleep impression. Our designers also used area carpets to tie in furniture which helps create a focal point and unity.
The main idea was to layer soft textures to create a space that looks and feels softer, calmer and more relaxing.
One With Nature
During trying times, it is very easy to not feel safe and at ease. And so, we looked for ways to make a calming, comforting, and relaxing environment. We want to use the things that signal to our brains that we are safe and one of the many ways we can do that is by providing a connection to nature.
Plants in the living areas and bedrooms can bring nature inside your home and help one to feel more at home. Plants were incorporated into this project abode with the intention to improve the well-being of clients and make the home more relaxing and stress-free.
